Not that many years ago, the Sony Walkman was the most in demand music player. I had one of those Walkmans by Sony. It had an OK stereo radio and a cool tape deck. Back in the 1980s, it was believed the best music player. In addition, one may find Apple Mac Mini MC270LL/A Desktop practical.
Nowadays when people imagine an MP3 player, the iPod is the first one they think of. It won’t be too long before that will all change. Sony’s new Walkman is now in the market. While the new Walkman from Sony has said goodbye to the tape deck, the FM radio tuner is still there, and several other cool features which we will discuss here.
Along with the MP3 player and the radio, Sony today includes built-in speakers. Today you have the choice to unplug your headset in order to share the music with others. At long last, there’s a Walkman for folks who don’t like using a head set constantly.
Not too long ago when I had my first Sony Walkman, I could actually record on tape songs that were playing on the radio. And naturally, Sony put this technology in to the Sony S-544 8 GB Walkman Video MP3 Player, allowing people to record not only radio broadcasts, but you can also record business group meetings or anything else you want.
This excellent Walkman MP3 player features a nice, bright 2.4-inch view screen, awesome for video viewing. Moreover, the Sony S-544 lets you play various video formats, so you’re not stuck trying to find converters to convert all your video files to a different format.
Let’s see . . . what else? Oh yeah – the Sony S-544 comes with an alarm clock installed. The alarm comes in living handy when you are needing some sleep but risk over doing it. And I haven’t even mentioned the handy sleep timer for when you want to drift off to sleep while listening.
And, last but far from least, the Sony S-544 comes with a superb battery. This unit enables you to play it full time, without recharging, for nearly two whole days (42 hours or so). You can also play lots of video, more or less 6 1/2 hours worth, before needing to recharge the Sony S-544. How’s that for time between battery recharging?
This new Walkman comes in a number of different colors. You can buy it in pink, red, violet or black. The Walkmans also are offered in either 8GB or 16 GB models, depending on what you want. And the fact that the 8GB model can be bought for only $84. That’s a nice price, seeing that the comparable iPod is being sold for at least twice as much.
In any case, if you’re wanting to save money but still be able to have a top of the line MP3 player, the Sony S-544 Walkman could be precisely what you’re looking for.
