Monetizing Your Blog

by Guest User on February 13, 2011

To have a successful blog will take time and effort. When I say a “successful blog” I mean one that gets a steady flow of traffic – readers who keep coming back. There’s no point in thinking that you just need to throw up a site and get automated content posted to it every day – too many marketers are doing that. I tried it too!

You need to be posting yourself 2 or 3 times a week.  It doesn’t need to be long but it should be something that readers can relate to. Whatever it is that you are good at, you can blog about that – your best chance of getting regular readers is with a topic that you are familiar with. If you have enthusiasm for your subject, this will come across in your writing. Having original content added to your blog is one of the best Internet marketing tips you will hear.
Then you can place Adsense ads on your homepage – even in the midst of the content you have created (but don’t overdo it). The ads will be related to your content, so you have a reasonable good chance of getting clicks and building up some revenue over time. And if you joing a CPA network or two, you can look for offers that are related to your subject matter, and place banner ads either above or in the post. If you can’t find a relevant CPA offer for your blog, look on Clickbank or Commission Junction. Once you start getting interested readers, you have a good chance of getting conversions on those offers.
